The Safety Committee develops and promotes quality safety programs. The Committee keeps members informed of the trends and changes in the administration of federal and state safety laws and regulations.
Our 2026 Safety Committee Goals
The Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Outreach Program
Identify STEP non‑participants
Encourage members to participate in STEP
Mentor members who express interest in the program
Assist members in the STEP self‑evaluation process and the completion of the application
Share Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Information with the Membership
Develop periodic ABC Texas Coastal Bend–branded email communications promoting STEP and delivering industry HSE updates.

The mission of the ABC-TCB Safety Committee is to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses by supporting our members through mentoring and education on safe work practices, proactively identifying hazards, and promoting continuous safety improvement through training and safety gatherings.
