The Associated Builders and Contractors Texas Coastal Bend Chapter is the Merit Shop organization of the construction industry for Commercial and Industrial Contractors, Oil and Gas Entities, Energy Companies, Suppliers, and Service Firms collaborating together for the good of the Coastal Bend and the Rio Grande Valley.
ABC promotes competition within the construction industry through the Merit Shop. ABC helps protect the rights of its member firms to manage their own businesses and labor relations through the most sophisticated management knowledge available. Each member of ABC has the opportunity and advantages of educational programs, labor relations advice, association publications, and exchange ideas with fellow contractors. It is no coincidence that most ABC members have increased their construction volume over the past 10 years. No other construction association has been able to make such a claim.
You Belong in ABC if you believe in the Free Enterprise System, the right to run your own business free from outside interference, rewards based on merit, and freedom to compete for the work you want.
Join thousands of construction firms nationwide…
As a member of ABC, you join thousands of construction firms nationwide who are working to protect your rights as an independent business. The Texas Coastal Bend Chapter of ABC, chartered in 1982, has active members and knowledgeable staff working in your interest in the areas of legislative action, labor relations, educational and safety programs, fringe benefits, and mutual member assistance.
We are the most effective organization in the industry…
ABC is the most effective organization in the industry in opposing intimidation, violence, coercion, feather-bedding, secondary boycotts, work restrictions, and interference with your rights to manage a project in the best interest of employers, employees, and construction consumers.
ABC's pursuit of free enterprise in construction has set the standard for all other associations to follow.
